Armed Officers

The decision to arm a security officer is not one to be taken lightly.  Prior to employing armed officers, it is important to consider:

  • The expectations for security in regards to the culture and environment.  This is particularly sensitive if the institution services students, the mentally ill, or some other at risk population.
  • Alternative to weapons, Admiral trains its armed security personnel in the use of safety options all along the use of force continuum, from a simple conversion to a potentially lethal ultimatum.
  • The economic impact of adding weapons to your security force.  Armed positions generally have a higher market wage, and you must also consider the additional cost of insurance, equipment, training, licensing and regulatory fees.
  • The legal impact an incident may have on your business.  It is important have clear procedures regarding weapons tracking, provide guidance on when and how the weapons should be used, implement policies for properly reporting incidents and abide by all local, state, and federal ordinances regarding the training and licensing of armed security officers.

We have invested significant resources in developing a lethal and non-lethal weapons program in an attempt to ensure that quality standards are met in the development of our armed officers.

Like our Unarmed Personnel, Admiral Armed Officers go through an extensive selection, recruiting and training processes, as well as additional specialized training by certified trainers.  Based on the use of force continuum practiced by law enforcement professionals and sanctioned by legal experts as the best approach to physical confrontations, officers are taught to utilize an escalating series of actions appropriate to handle the situation at hand, rather than to default to the most aggressive response.  Through training and reinforcement, officers develop the confidence necessary to address situations in an appropriate and effective manner.

Concierge

Admiral provides concierge services that extend beyond basic facility and event security. While protecting client safety, our security officers meticulously observe and document traffic in and out of buildings. They can also handle complaints, provide emergency assistance and handle a range of related security functions.

Our concierge security officers are carefully selected to have superior communication, comprehension, and problem solving skills. Every Admiral security officer must pass an intensive training course, including mandatory first aid and CPR training, specific to concierge duties and responsibilities. Security officers are required to present themselves professionally—both in dress and when dealing with residents and tenants—because their appearance and behavior must reflect positively on our clients.

As part of the Admiral Advantage, concierge services enable us to match security officer responsibilities to your exact needs.

Control Center

Admiral’s professional Control Center Security Officers may be contracted to provide monitoring and react to your organization’s specific needs and instructions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our specially trained officers monitor your facility for fire, assault, intruder, and entry access alarms, quickly verifying and responding to those incidents. We alert Emergency Responders as needed and report to your designated individuals per your customized instructions.

Our Security Officers rapidly build customer knowledge and close relationships with our clients for your safety and security. Our monitoring services handle incoming telephone calls and notifications for prompt reporting at your facility. Our skilled Security Officers keep a watchful eye on the details that are most important to you.

Vehicle Patrol

Admiral vehicle patrols maybe contracted to provide visibility according to the client’s schedule, or randomly to eliminate predictable patterns. The goal of our full-service protection is to prevent incidents from endangering your guests, residents, personnel and property.

Admiral’s vehicle-based security travels in clearly marked cars with communication equipment. Visits during the day and night can be a deterrent to thieves and vandals. Admiral patrols can make rounds as often as each client needs.

Admiral patrol officers receive special training in situational awareness. During rounds, they observe gates, doors and windows to assure they are secured. Any unusual conditions are reported to the property owner.  We can also work with you to review patrol reports and logs to help you to identify areas that may need additional protection.

Security Assessments

Security consulting is a lucrative business.  If you’ve ever tried to hire an “expert” to assist you in security planning for your organization, you know that the fees are high – and unfortunately, the end result can often be disappointing.  “Subject Matter Experts” may be knowledgeable, but can they convey the message in a professional way?

Admiral Security Services offers the best of both worlds:  Industry and subject matter experts with the proper certifications as well as proven, hands on experience to assist your organization with a thorough, relevant, and timely security assessment.

According to ASIS International, a Security Risk Assessment should follow a specific qualitative and quantitative methodology.  We have individuals with federal and local law enforcement, military and board certified backgrounds that have studied this process extensively and will apply its proven benefit to your project.

Technology

Admiral Security has partnered with the technology company TrackTik to provide guarding efficiency tools at many of our sites.  For an additional minimal cost, the TrackTik utility can be downloaded on any mobile phone to monitor the security officer’s activity, generate and store reports and provide a slew of other benefits.  Customized reports can be uploaded into the system and analytics can be performed and reported graphically. A small sample of some of the key features and benefits of this product are listed here:
